In Control Advanced Driver Training Engages Students with Action Packed Physics Lab

Acton/Boxborough, Groton-Dunstable and Littleton Teens will learn the science behind
driving and staying safe on the road

ACTON/BOXBOROUGH, MA-October 17, 2008EUR"Science meets the road on Saturday, October
25, as local high school students perform real-life g-force experiments at high
speeds, while at the same time learning driving skills that will help them avoid car
crashes. In recognition of EURNational Teen Driver Safety Week,EUR October 19-25, In
Control Advanced Driver Training will host a special crash prevention course at its
new permanent location in North Andover. This day-long crash prevention training
offers two sessions: a morning session from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and an afternoon
session from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. On this day, however, local students will turn the
driving course into a physics lab.

At the Acton Boxborough area Crash Prevention Training program, students from
several area schools will learn how to perform panic stops, how to use ABS breaks,
the effect of speed on control, the dangers of tailgating, and much more. The
students will wear specialized vests designed to measure acceleration in three
dimensions while turning, starting and stopping and determining the coefficient of
friction. In addition to Acton-Boxborough, students from Groton-Dunstable High
School physics classes will also take part in these high-speed physics lessons
created by Groton-Dunstable Science teacher Chris Siren.

The Vernier lab system uses Lab Pro software to download the data from the vest
sensors to laptop computers. This way, not only do students learn vital skills to
stay safe on the road, they can also calculate their physics statistics in a moving
vehicle.

EURPairing the In Control driving course with a science lab engages students as they
learn about EURreal worldEUR physics lessons, how to stay safe and have fun.EUR said Karen
Herther, Co-Chair of Acton Boxborough Parent Involvement Project (PIP), a community
group supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education K-12
(www.actonpip.org).

Since itEUR(tm)s National Teen Driver Safety Week, thanks to generous Acton-Boxborough
area sponsors*, In Control is offering this life saving course at a reduced price of
$199. For more information please visit www.DriveInControl.com/AB.
*Sponsors of the 2008-09 In Control Acton-Boxborough area teen driving classes

About In Control Advanced Driver Training
In Control Advanced Driver Training was founded in 2003 by professional racecar
driver Brandon Bogart in an effort to lower the number of accidents caused by driver
error. Automobile crashes are the number one killer of people under 45 and In
ControlEUR(tm)s program has been found to reduce crash rates in new drivers by 70 percent.

The half day In Control program is an extreme crash prevention training course
designed to not only teach participants the appropriate way to respond to
unavoidable, real-life road situations, but also to instill lifelong attitudes that
make safer drivers. This closed course hands-on education was adapted from existing
law enforcement training that Bogart has been instructing for more than a decade.

In Control is the first advanced driver training course certified by the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and graduates, regardless of driving experience,
qualify to receive Massachusetts auto insurance discounts up to 10%. In Control has
trained over 8,000 students and receives limitless praise from graduates, parents,
schools, police departments, insurance companies, legislators and community groups
all over New England. The course is held on closed airport runways and other large
paved areas where students are able to practice emergency maneuvers in a safe
environment. In Control operates fixed site facilities at the South Weymouth Naval
Air Station and the former Lucent Technologies facility in North Andover. A Mobile
Crash Prevention Classroom also serves locations throughout New England including
Seekonk, Worcester and Cape Cod. For more information about In Control Advanced
